Members of the healthcare, EMS, fire and law enforcement communities gathered to cut the ribbon on Air Evac Lifeteam’s new location in Louisiana, Mo.
The air medical base opened on Hwy. UU in August, after relocating from Carrollton, Ill.
Aaron Bradshaw, program director for the Air Evac Lifeteam base, is excited about the new facility. “Our crews have a new home in Louisiana, and we are able to provide rapid access to definitive healthcare for residents of Pike County,” Bradshaw said. “We can be anywhere in the county within 10 minutes.”
The Louisiana location is Air Evac Lifeteam’s twelfth air medical base in the state of Missouri. Each base serves residents within a 70-mile radius, transporting patients between medical facilities and from the scene of an injury or illness. The Louisiana base is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a pilot, flight nurse and flight paramedic.
